I've just hooked up my A780, everything working super except for one thing, the picture quality on all channels is a little fuzzy. I've tried messing about with the settings, checking it's PAL, changing aspect ratio etc and I can't seem to work out why it's like this. My old SV box doesn't have this problem (I tried hooking it back up and watched BBC One to see if the picture was the same), and the picture is crystal clear compared to the Kryptview box. Anyone had any experience of this, or have any pointers to remove the fuzziness? Thanks in advance.
"nyone had any experience of this, or have any pointers to remove the fuzziness?" mine looks like that after a few beers lol.stop drinkin cures it
Have you had a fiddle with the AV settings, I am not at home at present to tell you exactly where the setting is, but I am sure you will find it if you have a look about. Might be User settings, or other settings, there again might be system settings LOL.
in the settings make sure its on rgb and also on pal, if that dont work, try a different scart, cheap scarts are not shielded and the pic can be affected by magnetic fields from TV's or speakers
There's nothing you will be able to do to fix this problem. I have a similar slightly blurred image on mine, but my eyes have got use to it now. I posted on this forum with the same issue and was told to check this, that and the other. I hooked my sv box up and was getting clear image, like you do on the virgin box. In the end its a matter of balancing. Free channels and blurred picture on the KV or downtime on the new SV?
also some people may not notice a diffence on smaller sized tv's. I have 32 inch toshiba full hd. I put picture sharpness on high and set contrast. Kind of helps. On larger sized hd tv's the picture blur is even more evident.
