Damaged goods, you don't need to be told, return for replacement or refund.
    That's an interesting model number A 789

i got a reply for kv - they said quote
the box is new - please take the lid of
the box and make sure the cable wire
is secure to the circuit board.

should i have to pay 150 quid to have to
have to take to lid of it ? is this wise ?

Think you should clarify name of supplier. Hard to believe Kryptvu themselves would send box
to customer in such condition. Would have no problem removing lid from box providing you keep
copy of e-mail instructing you to do so. Would be less than happy to accept box in such obvious
    state of disrepair.

    reply from kv
Hi there is no problems for replacement so dont worry about that. Can
you try one more thing the lead that comes from the front panel
display into the main board is firmly in.

    me again
i can but - as the post office is close to my parents i left it
there in the box - i will try that in the morning.
on the off chance its still no go can u supply your
address as ilee be over there most of the day and it
saves mailing u to ask for it. i assume its a plug/unplug
    like the main board pin

Don't mess around with that box anymore. Send it back & refuse to pay any postage. You paid
for new box & didn't get a new box. Contact them & inform them as such, you can always cancel
PAY-PAL payment. Where's the quality control that didn't spot missing leg, scratched face, &
non-working unit. If box was tested & working before dispatch & arrived not working due to
cable connection coming undone, there are 2 conclusions; cable connection is shoddy affair or
couriers are playing football with boxes during delivery.

I see krypticonnect have there own forum now [IMG]
How long before thats in the sigs around here?.

As said, do not open the box, send it back for a replacement, if they refuse please let us know in here.

I am surprised they asked a customer to open the lid and risk harm to themselves.

Just demand a replacement, end of.

    Best of luck with it.

I see your going out of your way to show this has been resolved lol.

Not what you expect from a new box though is it E45.

Maybe you should have just sent him a replacement.....

Did he sort out his "leg wobble" also as one of the feet were missing.

    Are you the seller E45?

If your not why is the support forum made by you...

Nice forum rules BTW :) word for word off mine, pathetic!

im not gonna nit pick anyone
in fairness they / he did offer a replacemnt /
    cant argue with that .

what truck me as odd was being asked to take
the lid of the box twice to check the clip
cables were firmly attached to the circuit boards
the 2 i was asked to check wasnt them.
what i found was like a pc lead and clip cable
a small white 4/5 strand cable comming from the
small power board to the main chip board was half
    out of its socket.

now lets me honest without these boxex were all screwed
the price we pay for what we get isnt half bad.
but to have to open the lid of a new electrical item to
check it for the seller just seemd odd after payin 150 for it.

be thankfull im a reasonable guy and i cant be bothered to
send it back > now ive fixed it - even though yes 3 of
the 4 small rubber legs were also gone . it wobbles but
    i can deal with that.

my question to e45 is simple u talk alot about KV and
we all now it works - why is it i posted i had a slightly
well iffy experience did u pm me this

    > Hi m8 just send the box back there was [no need to start making waves]
they are a very reputable company and they go beyond to help any customer.
if you had said to them that you where unhappy with the box as it
was damaged etc they would have said return the box to us and we will
replace it not a problem if they send out a box its in a carton they
have no way of knowing what is the problem with it.

[[no need to start making waves]] - so posting what happened not
allowed just good feedback only ?

and as i replied to you they offered a replacement
my only concern was they asked me to take the lid
of the box twice to fiddle with wires to see if it
fixed it - not something u should do with a new item

    from kv
Hi there is no problems for replacement so dont worry about that. Can
you try one more thing the lead that comes from the front panel
display into the main board is firmly in.

    kv again
Open the box up and check the lead that comes from the power board
to the main board is firmly into the socket in the main board.

e45 any buyer should be able to post posative or otherwise dealings
with a buyer - after all i bought it through your
recommendation of kv is the better box

like i said it works now - but only after
i fiddled with it at there request
but i was asked to check the cables on the
board b4 returning it - that should be there
    job.

Open the box up and check the lead that comes from the power
board to the main board is firmly into the socket

in the end it works - thats all that matters.
buying any product if u recomend it entitles
    a person to leave a review .

and i never said they were bad or rude
they did offer replacement but only after i was
asked to go inside the box twice - right after
    receiving it.

jammo2002 keep all your correspondence with them and bookmark this page just in-case you ever have to send it back, most sellers wont take it back once the lid has been taken off.

    Glad you got it sorted.

Ok first off i dont need to explain myself on here but just for clarification purposes i will

1 I DO NOT SELL BOXES ON HERE EBAY OR ELSE WHERE

2 I ONLY RECOMMEND SUPPLIERS TO PEOPLE IF THEY WANT TO BUY FROM THEM WELL ENOUGH

3 I DO NOT RECEIVE ANY COMMISSION OR ANYTHING ELSE FOR GIVING THIS INFO ITS ALL FREE

4 FACEBOOK PAGE IS A SOCIAL NETWORK SITE LIKE ANY OTHER FACEBOOK PAGE NO DIFFERENCE

5 FORUM YES THERE IS ONE AVAILABLE TO KRYPTVIEW OWNERS ONLY AND NOT ADVERTISED ON HERE

6 ANTI STARVIEW MOST PROBABLY DUE TO GREED OVER CUSTOMER LOYALTY

7 KRYPTVIEW LOYALTY YES DUE TO NON GREED AND SUPPORT OF THERE OLDER BOXES EXCEPT THE HD ONE WHICH IS UNFORTUNATE

8 KRYPTVIEW GO FAR BEYOND ANY OTHER STB MANUFACTURER IN TERMS OF KEEPING THEIR CUSTOMERS UP TO DATE WITH INFORMATION UNLIKE OTHER STB MANUF

9 THEY SUPPLY THE PPV ON THEIR STB WHO ELSE DOES THIS FOR FREE AT A COST TO THEM WHICH IS SAVING THE CUSTOMER MONEY IF YOU HAVE JUST 1 A MONTH THAT SAVES THE CUSTOMER £180 A YEAR JUST ON THIS ALONE THE BOX HAS PAID FOR ITSELF JUST FOR THE PPV ALONE

There are 2 suppliers i recommend to people that is for a reason

1 Customer service will not be a problem

2 People will not get ripped off on price

3 And because they will not disappear over night like some sellers on fle bay do

4 They have a base they work from and don't ignore email etc

5 You can pay via PAYPAL and you know your money is 100% safe this way

6 You will be advised if there is stock available before you pay a penny and not have to pay up front like you have on ebay and you will get a next day service weather permitting

SO NOW YOU HAVE IT IN A NUT SHELL SO I HOPE THIS PUTS THE MATTER TO BED.

Edit, you have removed your post above - why - ?. NOW you have also edited it.

Taking the lid of a box will void the warranty also E45, your not talking to an idiot here. Some receivers have a security label that will tear to show whether the lid has been removed.

Also its not impossible to put back the original firmware then send the receiver back.

Edit, you have removed your post above - why - ?. Something to hide.....

And the supplier is supposed to remember which customer he has told to take the top off!.

Seriously E45 your talking rubbish, can you imagine the conversation, Oh you told me to take the top off (a new box) now can I have a refund lol, any supplier would laugh in his face.

Which IS WHY I told him to bookmark this page and keep all correspondence.

As in this case, the FTA Firmware is available for this box, so sending it back with the FTA Firmware would be fine, the supplier could not prove it had been used with any other firmware as you and I know,

Any seal broken or screw looks tampered with on the box would void the warranty.

If you think this is wrong then are you saying it is okay to take the lids off these receivers and it will not void the warranty....

    I think not.

Besides that what normal supplier would ask a customer to do that ...
