I know i seen this discussed but i have never seen a solution. Is there one? i have downloaded another avi that is upside down. Is there anyway to fix this or do you just suck it up and stand on your fricken head! Thanks in advance. Sorry about my frustration!

Generally a result of a bad YV12 to RGB colourspace conversion. Doubt it is actually upside down. Your decoder (XviD, ffdshow, etc.) should be able to flip it.

    FFDShow

Start > Programs > ffdshow > Video decoder configuration.
Select Output from list on the left.
    Check Flip video

ffdshow would actually have to be used to decode which I am guessing it isn't.
