What do you need to connect an hd to the PS2(what cables)? Will a normal hd(from my pc) work? Do you need the network adapter installed , too?
you need a network adapter, thats what the hd plugs into. yes a normal pc hd will work (maxtor are the best, western digital don't fit).
well you can fit a western digital to your network adapter but you need to mod it a little. Im quite partial to WD hard drives ive always found them very reliable and high performance especially with the 8Mb Cache but maxtors are good for ps2's as they don't make tons of noise like a WD does.
