I really don't know what I am doing. I get a total of 60 kb/s but I'd like to get more. I have a netgear router, and I know a lot about computers, just not torrents. Can somebody please guide me through this step by step - and try to use laymens terms if possible, thanks!

Have you forwarded a port in your router for Azureus to use? If not, this site will show you how. Just find your router and select it and then select Azureus and follow the instructions: http://www.portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/routerindex.htm If your IP address in ipconfig/all changes after a restart, you will need a static address (it's pretty easy and that site expllains how), otherwise not. Go to Start>Run<type in cmd>press ok>type in ipconfig/all, press enter and make a note of your address. Now, type exit and push enter or close and shut off your computer for 5 minutes. When you start, repeat your address info and if it hasn't changed. it's fine, otherwise you'll have to set a static.

i dont want to pay the $25 to use the full version. It doesn't let me update my router settings. i want to use the port 63814. I did a scan of my ports and my computer is 100% stealth, if that has anything to do with anything.

There is no charge, the info on that site is completely free. If you mean PFConfig, ignore it. What do you mean it won't let you update your router? What is your router model #?

ok WOW i looked over this site: http://www.portforward.com/ again and made my ip static and fixed everything through configuring my router and logging into that thing for the router to forward the port number. i didnt think anything different would happen: my dl speed went from 60 kb/s to ~200 kb/s

thanks so much for the link!
