I am using this guide, http://www.afterdawn.com/articles/archive/copy_dvd_to_xvid.cfm to convert my DVD's to xvid format with AC3 sound. According to the guide I am ripping the actual AC3 audio track from the DVD the interleaving it later to the xvid encoded video. My question is why when on playback the volume of the xvid encoded movie is almost half of the original DVD? If I am rippimg the AC3 audio file off the DVD should it not be exactly the same? Maybe I am missing something in the encoding process, any suggestions? Thanks all, Nilee
