Hi Y'all I am trying to get 6 different wav files to loop together indefinitely through 6 different speakers. I guess 5.1 is the way to go, and so I've produced an ac3 (Soft Edit). 1) I don't what to do next. I guess I have to author it onto dvd, but TPMG Author(with the ac3plugin) doesn't recognise files other than video files. mpg, mpv,m2p, etc 2) I could put it(the ac3) onto cdr, but dvd players don't have hardware loop functions 3) So i'm a bit stuck. Do I have to get the ac3 into some form of mpeg2 stream and then author it? If so, how and with what? 4) Oh yes, I don't have much money, so can't go dvd-A. Need to use 5.1 dvd-v or cdr approach. Oh the hours spent surfing! Thx
foobar2000 (special installer required IIRC) can play back AC3 files (and it can loop a file indefinitely). You could also use plain 6 channel .wav files or multichannel AAC (MP4) as format. (From your post I'm not sure if playback on PC is enough for you or if you need some standalone sollution.) For authoring a DVD-V containing the AC3 as audio stream DVD+Audio Creator should work. AFAIK there are free sollutions like ifoedit, but I've never done this myself. You might want to browse related forums (DVD Authoring) or guides (at afterdawn/doom9/everwicked).
tigre Thanks, but DVD+Audio Creator only does 2 channels. I need 6 channels running in parallel off a dvd player-receiver-speakers(6) combo. Ifoedit no good as am on XP Any other ideas how i get ac3 onto dvd-v?
