I have an XviD encoded in AC3 audio. I want to convert to MPEG2 compatible DVD. I extracted the AC3 audio using VirtualDub and tried to use HeadAC3he to convert the audio to WAV before I encoded the video and audio to MPEG2. The AC3 stream is corrupted, and I get this error in HeadAC3he: AC3 decoding cycle ...done AC3 decoding cycle ...done AC3 decoding cycle ...done AC3 decoding cycle ...done AC3 decoding cycle Bad Syncword at frame 47571! The AC3 stream is probably corrupt. ...done So the AC3 stream is corrupt... what do I do?
This little proggie apparently repaires corrupt ac3 streams: http://www.doom9.org/Soft21/Audio/BeSlicedv0.2.zip Never tried it myself. Let us know how you go. Rgds, jnihil.
Now that I learned how to use BeSpliced (drop and drag... I can't believe I didn't think of it), it works perfectly. Encoded to WAV and now combining the XviD and WAV to MPEG2.
