this is an afterthought: youll wanna keep in mind that the extra audio track will increase the size of the video so it might be too large for the dvd so you might have to transcode it to make it smaller ...rejig is very popular for this because its fast: http://www.videohelp.com/tools?tool=ReJig

ive never done this before, but this really interested me ...if i could go in and change something about the movie and still keep the menus and all ...and the answer is ..........yes. it requires some work though.

first if you dont care about the menus and extras then you can check out this guide on how to grab the main movie (id suggest one of the .vob to .mpg options so you dont have to demux then add then re mux):
    http://forum.videohelp.com/viewtopic.php?t=224833

then you can use whatever authoring software to remake the dvd with out or your own menu. if you run into problems adding your ac3 to the already existing stuff then (like too many audio streams w/ yours you can try virtualdubMod: http://www.videohelp.com/tools?tool=VirtualdubMOD and if that doesnt work then muxman should: http://www.videohelp.com/tools?tool=Muxman ive never used it but i found out about it reading the sen=cond guide)

now if you wanna keep menus and all i found this guide, its for adding subtitles but the guide can still help you through it ...you can just ignore the talk about subs but when you get to step 5 youll add everything as usual then youll also add your ac3 file. everything after looks like itll be the same:
    http://forum.videohelp.com/viewtopic.php?t=275603

...i might do somethin like this myself just to see if it works but if you go all out with this please lemme know how it goes
