accesability

    i recentley obtained an old laptop that my mother got from work a long time ago. its a quite old computer so i told her to take it to work and tell them to install the new windows. when i got it back it worked fine but i cant install stuff on to it. it keeps telling me to log on as the administrator and i dont know the password. is there anything i can do?

    boot up, go to "log out".

    On that screen, press ctrl+alt+del twice, and it should change from the cute little windows login screen to the old fashioned box.

    Type in Administrator, w/ no password. You should be in.

    Otherwise, it might be Admin, but I think it's Administrator.

    If it says that pw's not right, then you need to have her ask @ work.
