access denied on my hd

    i have a lappy which went crappy, so i decided to transfer all my files in c drive to another computer, but it says access denied. is it some kind of password protected, but i have removed it long time ago, please tell me how to backup my files, i need my photos in my pictures badly someone tell me please€€€€€€€€. i access it from documents and settings

    Are you doing this with files sharing between the two computers. If you are it sounds like when you setup sharing of the folders you didn't include the option to allow other users to change files. Which would result in the access denied message when you go to move the files.

    well i have found the problem. it is because the user name is diff. just gotta transfer the user name rights and i was being able to backup my files
