So I was trying to make XP load faster using an online guide I found, and one suggestion they had was to uninstall a few fonts you never use. Well I went in there and got rid of a few ones based on symbols and some I had never heard of before, nothing too special...

That was, until, I deleted a font and the google page I had in the background suddenly shifted and changed. Turned out it was the font for my results that changed, didn't look the same any more. I didn't think anything of it at the time, thought no big deal, but sadly it also changed the look of my login page for XP, and a few others. Anybody know either which font it was or how I can get it back? Thnx

    Hey IronRisng,
This may be over simplified but have you tried a System Restore? There is also the option of using "Last Known Good Configuration". At the BIOS screen (before Window's loads) repeatedly tap F8 and in the Advanced Boot Options look for "Last Known". Perhaps one of those will get you back in shape.

you don't think that's going overboard just a bit? If not then it's def something I can try.

If anyone else knows of the font, i know that it's also the font that gmail uses after one logs in. Same font for the messages, toolbar on the left, everything.

btw, does a system restore restore everything just on C, or for the entire HD?

Well I was about to do that then figured I should just try using a USB drive and a friends Fonts folder, then C&P back to mine to see if it solves the problem. Well, it did, and I went back and started to delete fonts I didn't think were necessary (just like before) but never came across the font I accidentally deleted again. Bummer. But thanks for the help all.

Hmm..Sorry to hear that didn't work out for you. Sounded like a good idea though.
