I bought the Acekard 2 recently and didn't even realize there was a soft reset for a while. But I turned the soft reset on in the patches options, started up a game, and I can't seem to soft reset on any games. I've tried several combinations like ABXYLR + Down, A+B+R+L+DOWN, and L+R+A+B+Down and none of them work. I've searched through a few forums and also saw that someone asked practically this same question..But just...Nothing's working for me. Any ideas?

And by the way, I'm using the AKMENU 4.21 HW:80 which is the latest official software.

on a dstt im guessing there all simular each game has to have its soft reset option turned on, on the rom cart menu usually A,B,X,Y and L+R reset it to the main menu, only works when in a game takes you back to the rom cart menu screen (D-PAD not used to soft reset)

When I was in the ROM cart, (Which is the file with all the ROMS in it, correct?) I chose properties for Pokemon Platinum, and then chose setup rom info..There's three preferences there which are DS Download Play, Soft-Reset, and Cheat/action Replay. I changed the soft-reset from default to enabled...Except the default before I changed it should have been enable anyway, so it should have worked before I did that...But after I changed it to enabled, the soft-reset still didn't work during the game by pressing A,B,X,Y,L,R...I also tried it with a few more ROMs like Animal Crossing: Wild World and Mario Kart. Any other ideas possibly..?

Yup..I definitely already looked at those and did exactly what they both said after double-checking the patches options.

im stumped now, and having a dstti and not a Acekard 2 i can't do it to tell you how to do it.

only other thing i would try is back up micro sd card to pc, format it using default settings, re-put newest operating software on there and drag all files back except operating software and try again, also i would try the newest unofficial kernel as i am doing with dstti 1.17a12 was written by a 3rd party, and your flash cart has a 3rd party kernel try that

Alright..Yeah, I saw http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qAfT5dyEc9Y <-- that video and that didn't really help me out much except made me want to be able to soft reset more, lol.

I'll try some different firmware and format the sd card some time this weekend when I get a minute. Thanks for your help!
