I have been trying to set up the action replay cheat loader on my acekard but I am having trouble. I will tell you what i have done so far. I want to cheat on the legend of zelda, the phantom hour glass. I have this game stored on my acekard. I have created a txt document with the exact same name as the rom. apart from the .cc suffix at the end of the name. I have put '@' in front of each cheat name in my .cc txt file. I have then put this with the rom on my acekard. I go into the menu, then special and enable cheats. When I go into the game, nothing happens when I press start+select+up. I must be going wrong somewere, I just need to get it right. I really hope one of you experts can help me.
hello bigcol, are you having any joy with your acekard? i haven't received any replies to my query but have noticed most discussion is about R4 or M3 cards. i am thinking maybe i should invest in an R4 card - is this becoming the industry standard do you think?
The probem was is that when I was creating a cheat file and even though I was inputting the .cc suffix, my windows was still thinking of it as a txt file rather than a .cc file. I soon sussed it out. Once I had gone into tools/folder options/view and unchecked the Hide Extentions For Known File Types, this sorted it. I was then able to create a proper .cc file. I knew this as soon as I changed the name becuase a messaged popped up telling me it was a unrecognised file format. As soon as I went into the game, the cheats worked. I reckon, I wont be the only person to come across this problem and maybe AceKard can fix this in the next update even if its just a readme file.
