Hi, I just got home from a weekend away and I left my laptop screen down, because I was pretty sure it would turn itself off after a while, now I come back and I hardly see anything on the screen anymore. It is totally broke now and should I order a new screen? Or what could be going on? thanks, Martijn
ok if you turn it on do you see the leds on or any sound like is working because if not the whole thing is broken but if you do probably your lcd monitor died!!/. and you need a replacement. man next time in the on the winxp energy options set you laptp to turn off when monitor close to avoid that!!
all the leds are working, and I see the 'base' of the screen very softly, so everything is working, but there is no light coming from the screen..
Sounds like you burned out the backlight. You can purchase some of these parts separately, you just need to google a bit to find a source. Good luck. ~Rich
