What hardware upgrades could i add to my laptop. SPECS: cpu = 2.4GHz ram = 750MB 512 and 256 Graphics = 64MB HARD DISK = 30GB Any links to webpages and parts would be helpful,thanks.
Hey, here are the Acer specs.........http://www.acersupport.com/notebook/html/tm240.html You have imbedded graphics( integrated with chipset ) so the only way to upgade is to switch motherboards. You have a Celeron M CPU but you need to know the stepping code and model...........http://www.cpuid.com/cpuz.php.....Download CPUZ to get info. You may be able to drop a Pentium M 1.3/1.4 CPU. This will increase performance over the Celleron regardless of the speed. They are cheap on Ebay. You can add more memory( 2gb max )but I would try the CPU route first and then go memory if that is fruitless......Post your results
Nah im quite happy with the cpu performance and the ram. I was looking towards a bigger harddisk and graphics card. Shame about the graphics, what would be the max size harddisk i could put in the laptop, if i was to change the motherboard where would i purchase it and what sort of one should i go for,any links would be good.Thanks
