i have a Nvidia GeForce4 MX 440 video card when i tried to play it a errour message will pop up saying that it supports Geforce 3 or higher except for Geforce 4 MX series. Is there any way i can downgrade or upgrade it. i tried updating the video card but it says its the latest one. so HELP! ME!
i dont want to buy one i'm thinking there is a way that i can get an upgrade on www.nvidia.com but i get to the download drivers and i have no idea what to do next.
do you meet these requirements & is your card t&l compatible?? http://www.atari.com/us/games/act_of_war/dvd_rom#systemspecs
i don't know what t@L means but i know its not compatitable with this game becasue its a Geforce 4 mx series but it says it will work with geforce 3 i dont know if you can downgrade though
you can't downgrade because of the videocard bios & videocard cpu. get a newer card as i stated before that meets the game requirements.
i found out a way to download a GeForce 4 Ti 4400 and i read that act of war does support it. so i looked into my device manager and it replaced the geforce4 mx440 and i was happy becasue thats wat i wanted it to do. so then i get my hopes up but the same error message comes up. i heard something about a BIOS thing it sounds liek something similar to a video card. what can i do to fix this the Ti 4400 was compatible how come it didnt work????
when you post the computer, does it show the mx440 card top left hand corner? see what the videocard cpu is on the mx440 & on the ti4400. check card manufacturer to see if the have a program or bios update for the videocards.
