action replay/matrix infinity issue...?

    anyone here with matrix infinity v1.54,had any issues with action replay max, jes cant get armax to work properly, it boots alright then stalls when i try and select somethin, same story if matrix is disabled.

    its a genuine MI chip i know that..
    the disc isnt scratched badly, one or too, barely noticable.
