Action Replay possibly broken

I got an action replay a little while back and it deleted all my codes! when i try to put a new game on it these blue and red bars keep going up. i thought that it was normal and plugged it in. a few days later the bars were still going! then i tried to put in codes off the computer and it said there was no room and nothing was there! so i tried to delete whatever was there and tried again and the same result! i really need help because i cant even take it back!
