Ok Guys & Gals, I can use a little help here in order to figure a couple of things out. First let me explain what I'm using and what I like to do if possible. I'm using the old Fat (v1) PS2 first year model. I created an Independent Memorycard Exploit that i created using the Action Replay Max Cd. Now here is First question is there a way i can use my action replay codes & load the game from the hardrive as i haven't figured that out yet. Next question is i been doing alot of research on trying to backup my ps1 games to the hardrive or even playing my backup ps1 games on ps2. I heard about psxlauncher.elf but i heard it only works for v9 & up which i gave it a shot and no go, i also heard psxloader.elf that also no go. Can someone please help me with this as i been searching the net days for answers but no solution. Note: I don't have a flip-top case nor do I want to use the knife trick. Basically i want to use my hardrive & memorycard exploit if all possible. Thanks in advance.
You can add hdloader.elf to your memory card exploit so that you can use the hdd. PS1 games do not work on a PS2 hdd. Ar max will work on a hdd, but involves editing your ISO images of the backups. Not really worth it. Some info here about it. Or you could use codebreaker elf off the memory card and then it will boot your hdloader.elf. Tutorial here. Thats what I use on my hdd. Or if your action replay max cd has the media plaer with it, you could just get a usb flash drive and put your hdloader.elf files etc on it to launch them.
