I know I don't need more than a gig of Ram, but Uncle Sam is very nice to me this month so I added 1 more Gig of ram to my comp. Now I have 2 gig. My question is how do I know if it works? PS: The rams are identical @ 4 sticks of 512, kingston hyper x blue rams with all same specs.
Works in the terms of what? as in you will see a differnce?> or will it work as in work ok, or have tech problems? Or see if it connected properly?
aw, you air brushed your registration details out..............LOL Also enter your BIOS by pressing DEL or F2 (depending on BIOS OEM) and it will tell you what memory it thinks is installed, as flip suggested 2048Mb or 2Gb, but will usually be 2048Mb.........
Just an added extra, if you want to glance at your complete specs etc, there are some good system information viewing proggies available for free download, here are a couple of links: For Everest Home (aida32) http://www.lavalys.com/products.php?lang=en And Sisofts Sandra http://www.sisoftware.net/ Have fun..............................
