Adding a picture and text to my posts

Hello Afterdawn Masters!

If anyone could give me instructions on how to add a picture and text to my posts I would appreciate it. I don't want to add anything fancy, just to personalize like others have. I tried to find how to do this using search but the instructions I found weren't clear to me. Another newbie question I know, but I think it would be nice to add some pictorial interest to my posts. Thanks for the help!! (If someone has done a guide on this, please aim me to it! I've become good at following Afterdawn Guides!!)

I can answer that one for ya fryerider, it's actually easier than you might think.. you just need a place on the web to host the image for you (like image cave for instance) www.imagecave.com First you will need to sign up, then you upload whatever picture it is you want to use (you can upload more than one) Step 2. Select and copy the entire EZCode: and then paste it to whichever sig you like whether it be afterdawn, demonoid, myspace etc. I'm pretty sure you get to afterdawns from the front page.. yep, you will see a link that says "Visit My account -page" click there and then you will want to click "Edit personal information" and just paste that EZ code into your sig.. and thats it.. the other codes are for avatars and such, you will only need the EZ code for afterdawn. Just make sure you don't make your sig too big because some people still use dial up and you will slow them down alot.. (common courtesy)

p.s if it makes you feel better.. I had to ask that once.. back during the first time I was a newbie.. lol thanks to post counter creeps I think I'll just stay a newbie from now on.. more peace of mind

Just so you know.. You can host your pics right here at afterdawn. Look for your profile page. Links to pics there seem to work fast most of the time.

 

I didn't know that. Thanks for the info Janrocks. I think I lost my desire to be creative but it's still nice to know.

I think this is one of the best features of afterdawn.
