Using Win XP Home, Nero Vision Express 3

How do I insert a still image (JPG, BMP, GIF, etc) in a movie using Nero?

I open two or three video files and add them to the project, but now I want to add a still image. There doesn't seem to be a provision for this. Is creating a slideshow and saving it as a VOB on the HD the only way?

Incidentally, I did just that, and Nero gladly accepted the VOB, but shut down when I tried to add it to the project. I could use MovieMaker to do this - it's simple enough, but it's an even more fragile application than Nero.

Thanks for any help you can offer,
    EdP

I don't have Nero at the moment.
You could create a still AVI with no audio from an image with VirtualDub - could you add a silent AVI to the project?
0.2 frames per second, shown at 25 FPS would be four seconds long.

    Thanks, attar ....

It works and it's simple, although there is a certain amount of quality degradation.

I've been using VDMod for a little while, but haven't even come close to understanding what it can do. It never occurred to me to open a still image file into it.

    Thanks again,
    EdP
BTW ... Does that sailor's hat spell out HERO or NERO? ;o)
