Is there software out there (to purchase of course) that will allow you to put basic copy protection on your authored DVD's??

I know copy protection can easily be bypassed but it would be nice to keep the average joe from making copies.

I know about Macrovision and other major brands- which costs thousands of dollars but is there anything else out there that lets you put basic protection **ON** your made DVD?

    Thanks in advance!

The basic problem here is that thousands of hackers have spent all their time trying to break copy protection rather than create it. There does not seem to be much of a market for it either, at least on the level you are talking about.

darren_e, judging by the link you have your sig, you haven't read the rules you agreed to when you created an account, otherwise you'd know that such a link is not allowed. you'd have known to search first, too, as this is asked about once a week by people, such as yourself, who don't do research first and would rather create a new thread than add to an old one.

please give the rules a read.
