Does anyone know of a programme that will allow you to add video files to a DVD-RW? I would like to be able to add video of kids growing up over the years.
If you want to keep those movies, forever, then there is no way that you should be using RW media. Use -R or +R. You can add to any disc, if you are archiving the movies and don't want the disc to play on a set top DVD player, but if you captured those movies, as DV-AVI files, which you should have, you aren't going to fit much on a DVD. If you want the movies to play on a set top DVD player, then the movies have to be burned as a DVD compliant movie, and there are good software programs that do that.
