    Did it work previously? Does your PC meet the system requirements to run the app? How many other programs are running?

    No, this is the first time i'm trying it. I'm pretty sure my pc meets the system requirements.

    Graphic card: geforce 7600 gs 256mb

    Nothing else is open except for the anti virus (avg anti virus free)
    and my firewall (pc tools firewall plus). Both the firewall and anti
    virus are free editions from their websites.

    This is what I found:

    System requirements
    Windows

    * Intel® Pentium® 4 or Intel Celeron® (or compatible) 1.3GHz processor (dual-core processors and those with Hyper-Threading Technology supported)
    * Microsoft® Windows Vista™ (32-bit only), Windows® XP, or Windows Media Center Edition (XP and MCE require Service Pack 2)
    * Windows XP: 256MB of RAM (512MB recommended)
    * Windows Vista: 512MB of RAM (1GB recommended)
    * 1.5GB of available hard-disk space
    * Color monitor with 16-bit color video card
    * 1,024x768 monitor resolution at 96dpi or less
    * Display driver compatible with Microsoft DirectX 9 or later
    * CD-ROM drive

    Also go here:
    http://www.vtc.com/products/AdobePhotoshopCS3Extended/Introduction/73254

    Bear in mind that 512 mb of RAM is the bare minimum and even one gig might be a little light to actually render any work.

    I had a similar problem on my laptop with CS3;

    Most of the programs ran fine, but when I attempted to use Premiere, Aftereffects or Soundbooth my laptop froze at the loading screen.

    I ultimately determined it to be a problem with my sound card driver, when I contacted SoundMax to ask about it all they told me is that it's a "known issue" and there's currently no solution or driver fixes.

    Luckily I only needed Photoshop, Flash and Fireworks while I had that laptop.

    I recommend checking all your drivers are up to date, especially your graphics drivers and see if there are any hotfixes or patches that apply specifically to these issues/programs.

    Good Luck!!!

    I have CS3 and it is not called Master Collection. My software is called Adobe Creative Suite 3 Design Premium. You might want to download a good virus software like NOD32 and scan your machine for virus and spyware.

    Thanks for all the help guys...

    My pc was in the shop the last few days for inspection...
    (I've also been having problems with FIFA 09).

    The technician told me i have a problem with the graphic card (which
    is brand new BTW), Luckily i have a warranty so he will switch it
    for me. Anyway i'm using a temporary video card (geforce 5 128 MB -
    i've installed the driver) and still i have the same problem!

    Maybe i'll wait untill i get my new graphic card and see what happens.

    I will update you guys later...
