Adobe CS5.5

    I download a copy of CS5.5 Master Collection from the Pirate Bay. It was ripped straight from a legally purchased DVD and came with the serial. The install guide that came with it said to replace my host file so the programs can't update. My question is, how will Adobe know my software isn't legal? Why can't I let them update so they don't continually crash>
