When editing videos, do I need another program beside Adobe Premiere and what program do I use to burn it into a DVD. Can you recommend an alternative program to edit Hi8 and DV formats before burning into DVD?

You don"t need another Program for editing Videos but you do need other software to Create the DVD.....

What you do is after you have edited your Project in Adobe Premier you export your Project as a DVD Compliant Mpeg-2 file useing either the Built in Adobe Mpeg encoder or one of the Many available Encoder Plugins for Premier Like CCE or MainConcept ect.....

After you have rendered your Project to a DVD Compliant Mpeg-2 file you will need to use a DVD authoring program so you can add your Menu"s and Chapters to your Project and to author them to DVD for you....
I like to use "MediaChance DVDLab Pro" cuz it is Fairly easy to learn and Use and it has some of the best menu Features but it does have a Bit of a learning Curve, If you want something easier to use then maybe "Tmpgenc DVD Author" is more your Speed, either way both Programs will allow you to Put the Mpeg-2 file on to DVD with menu"s and Chapters accept DVDLab Makes Nicer menu"s and Has more Features....

    Good luck
