ADSL & WinMx re:

    I tried to download Winmx again but the program commands are still running slow, but my other programs run fast & am always able to download music fast from Winmx but the commands itself of Winmx run so slow, takes time

    Check your system resources when running the program using Task Manager

    I re-downloaded Winmx, but the commands or features of Winmx still continue to run slow, but like always I can still download music fast. What is the other item you say to do to see how much of your systems resources are being used up?

    How do I do this? Thanks

    Press ctrl/alt/delete when running the program. On the bottom it will tell u the processor percentage used. Wath this while making seletions in WinMX

    I pressed Ctr/Alt/Del. This box with selections End Task/Shutdown/Cancel shows up. But nothing in the bottom with a precentage show's up!

    Do I have to do this while the program is being downloaded(Winmx) or after it has been downloaded?

    Yeah, sorry it does. WindowsME was the worst operating system ever designed. Best bet is to get yourself a copy of Windows Xp by any means possible and use that instead of ME.

    Damn Really! Probably might get infected with the worm that is going on right now, if I get XP. Well hey dude thanks for your help though. At least I tried. I guess I will have to download another program, but I do think in terms of style & the features on Winmx, it would have been my next preference after Napster.

    Did u try a fresh download of it first. Sometimes p2p can conflict with other sftware on your system. Check for this by deleting and downloading a new/newer verion.

    Yes, I have tried uninstalling it & re-installing from the site itself & downloading the newest version, but still runs slow. Any more suggestions are welcomed!

    Can you get ur hands on a copy of XP, remembering this is a legit site, so do it legally ;-). If so, upgrade ur windows operating system. ME is useless anyway. I upgrade mine from ME after about a week of using it.
