Huck I go from my RCA DVD Player to the S-VHS & Right and Left Audio inputs on my ADVC-100 then using firewire into my computer and am able to capture a complete movie on my hard drive using Sonic MyDVD. I have no problem with copy protection.
huckle Sorry, I wasn't paying enough attention to your question. I also own the ADVC-100 but, have never tried using it with a commerical VHS Tape however; it does seem logical that to defeat microvision you would need a video stablizer. You can take a look at two different one at: http://www.002-cable-descramblers.com/videostabilizer.html http://www.cypress.com.tw/product.php?PId=89283&CId=007&CName=Video Processors&SR=0
