Hi, im soon gonna buy a mod chip for my playstation 2. I want advice on which one to get. I'm currently leaning towards the Matrix Infinity Chip. I'm going to purchase it from this site http://ghost2fitter.co.uk/ As you can see I live in the UK so can anyone say if this is a good site? I've heard it is from looking through the forums, but just wanted to double check. Also I have colour problems playing NTSC games on my PAL PStwo/TV. Does the Chip fix this problem? Is it generally a good chip, that will last in my PStwo and provide me with all the features i'm gonna need? Thanks In Advance Yojimbo08 Edit: This is what i'm gonna get http://ghost2fitter.co.uk/index.php?main_page=product_info&manufacturers_id=22&products_id=75
The chip won't fix the NTSC to PAL screen problems, but since you're in the UK, buying a true, fully wired RGB Scart lead for PS2 will fix the problem & give you better picture quality as well. Prices range from £3 - £15, and you can get one from GAME, HMV, EB, Argos etc..
I would also suggest you get a laser fix to go with your modchip to avoid any laser issues (like the laser burning out due to over voltage).
hello Yojimbo08 i have just brought a pre mod from that website and i would recommend the wholehartedly they have excellent service and sell genuine chips (not fakes) i think if you send in the console to them they will fit it for you. the matrix infinity is the best chip you can buy on the market right now, it has anti macrovision and anti green screen when playing DVD's, if you are going to play import games i suggest you get a rgb scart cable they are cheap ad easy solution instead in buying a expensive TV of expensive cables. if you have any other questions about the chip or about ghost2fitters PM me if you want.
