I have used audacity to capture some old tapes. I have exported these to MP3 and put them on an ITunes playlist and burnt them to CD. I have tried burning as audio CD or MP3 to a CD-rw but will only play on my car radio not an ordinary CD player. Can anyone advise?
Do you mean that you converted the mp3's to regular .cda files? If not, try that. idk, but thought that maybe this might help.
just about every burning app will make normal audio cd's from mp3 files.. but honestly you are losing quality by converting to mp3.. even from tape.. the cd-rw is the big problem.. car players often play them fine.. few normal home cd players can handle them. for direct tape to cd conversion rip to wav files.. then (because cda is wav) use a burning app like imgburn to make an audio cd. unless you have an ipod ditch itunes.. it's junk..
