I recently bought a new computer with 120G HD. I use Windows 2000 Pro in NT. The boot drive was set at 4Gigabytes by a 'professional'. However, I am hard pressed to keep more than 700MB free. I load programs in another partition. I have plenty of space available in each of the other partitions but data is in each partition. I just weant to increase the boot drive to 10 15 Gigabytes. Is there REALLY a program that repartitions in real time (no back-ups necessary) without data loss?

partition magic 7 or 8 will do what you want. you can merge, resize, join, and split partitions without loosing data.

And also if you want to shrink a partition, you have to defragment, or else the resizing would cut off some info. No need to do that with Linux though.
