I recently modded my hitachi drive and i used the console for power. I then later read that the console logs that the drive was not connected. I think i did this a total of 2 times. Any advice. I miss playing Halo 3.

    Thanx.

don't live in fear... even if it did log something ... what are you gonna do about it ?? there is no way to wipe a log that people aren't even sure exists...

it wouldn't be that instantaneous... cause i've done exactly as you describe and powered it from the console... couple times actually... and i didn't get banned... (yet)

the bans will come in waves... prob this upcoming november where thousands will get banned at the same time.

they do it that way to ensure people don't know exactly why they are getting banned... they don't want the cause -> effect to be obvious, which is why they do it in waves.

If you are worried about getting banned, I would just pay for Live monthly instead of buying a 12 month subscription. That way if they ban you the day after you activate it you're only out the $8, not $60. But then again if they don't ban you, you pay about $20 more per year.
I never understood the fear of getting banned. If you don't go on Live because you don't want the ban, then you have nothing to lose by getting banned because you wouldn't be using Live either way. Just my opinion.
Anyway, it's good to see that you're not gonna let 'em scare you. Be sure to post back if you get banned instantly. Good luck.

They ban the console, not the gamertag.

"They ban the console, not the gamertag."

That is true. But then you are left with an Xbox Live account that is useless unless you buy another console to use it on.
