I am having a problem here w/ burning a DVD w/ Nero VisionExpress. I am trying to put roughly 23 mpg videos which total about 3.88Gbyte onto the dvd. The burn process goes as normal and completes fine w/ no problems what so ever. Then when I try and play it in my dvd player I get a DISK ERROR when I get near the end of the dvd! I have tried 2 different dvd medias w/ the first cheaper one giving me freeze ups.. The second having this DISK ERROR near the end of the DVD. Can this be because of the media yet again? This last disk was a FUJIFILM DVD +R.

it could be the discs, it could be something else. search your machine for nerovision.txt (your logfile). paste it here and we can shake it and see what falls out the bottom..

    - EDIT OUT your serial numbers

    - Nerovision and Burning Rom are too old, update to Nerovision 3.1.0.16 & Burning Rom 6.6.0.16 here -
    http://www.nero.com/en/nero-up.php (update packages 1 & 2)

    - your firmware is a version behind, UWS4 is here - http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_firmware.php?download_id=1891

    - yup, Nero's too old to correctly recognise your burner

    - wow that free memory is appalling, i take it that first figure is 512MB with onboard video pinching some (which is fine, same as me except i got 1GB now). Anyway something's using up ALL your memory, you need to close stuff down prior to burns

FOllow suggestions and post back with progress..

I will give it all a try, I have updated all that you suggested and I will try running it again and see what happens. As for the memory, I'm not sure what could be causing this? I do shut everything off and I even hit cntr-alt-del to shut down any processes that might not be needed while Im running.

WOW after upgrading all the above, I went to burn my project and Nero tells me I need MPG-2 Codec license... So I break down and get serial for this. Now I can continue right, Well I start my project which at least burned last time, now after 6 hrs nero says it still has 296 hrs left to complete!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOW,, those updates really did something wrong? HeLP!? :)

I will upload my latest logfile, but heres the scoop on last I did. I did some searching last night after the 400 hr burn and found that nero infotool thingy and saw that ASPI was corrupt. I installed 4.6 and fixed the corrupt file. After that I tried to burn again and did it in 5 or so hrs time like before... Havent had a chance to watch the dvd yet though... Guess the aspi had to do w/ the slow problem?

Here is the logfile again for the newest burn
