I converted a movie from AVI to VCD compatible formet using TMPEnc. Then I burned using Nero 5.5. When I play the movie on my VCD player, the beginning of the movie looks fine. But somewhere in the middle or near the end, the movie has odd distortions and colorations on screen while viewing.

Where did I go wrong ? Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

If you get squares that fill in after the scene changes or big blocks of color you may be able to get rid of it with slower burns. I've never
been able to burn (S)VCD at top speed and have it play without distortion. For (S)VCD on CDR I usually burn no faster than 16x with Nero. DVD seems to burn at top speed ok for me. Another reason to do DVD instead of VCD if you can I guess.
