i have used tmpenc to convert an avi to a mpeg1 (pal) i use vob instant cd+dvd, or roxio, or nero, and successfully created the vcd, i know because my computer or my cousins apex dvd player play my vcd fine. but when i put in on my sony sava-d900 it wont play it. i also know that my dvd player wont play cd-r, but i have bought vcd movies that can actually play them, it seems like the cd-r is different. the cd-r that does play in my dvd sony sava-d900 seems to be very different from any ordinary cd-r's. but then again when i have a avi file, and convert it with only vob instant cd+dvd (not converting it with tpmenc) then burn it with a standard cd-r it will actually play my vcd, but the music seems to be choppy, and also the video seems to read at a slower pace very. so if anyone can answer my question, it will be very appreciated.:)

ps. were can i find the cd-r's that have no describtion on the disk, it looks like a blank cd.
