I work vith many comps in the same After Effect project. The settings are the same, the avi files are from the same sourse (Premier, DV). When I render the movies ONE of them now have field flicker. It look OK if I choose frame render instead, but fields are better. It seems like the field render option no longer work on my computer! WHY?!

Maybe Try Switching the Field order because the Flickering your are Talking about sounds Like a Field Order Problem...(Interlaced DV is allmost allways Bottom Field First so make sure your Project settings are set to this)

Also most all Interlaced Video will Flicker on your PC Monitor because your Monitor isn"t made to Display Interlaced Video...

When doing Video editing it is allways good to have a TV set Hooked up to your PC to preview your Video so you get a True representation of what the Video looks like on a TV Set....

    Good Luck

The strange thing is that the flicker suddenly appeares this week! When I render old compositions they also have this flicker. It really look like some field setting problem, but why now?

Yes. Lower field when I use Premiere for intake. Lower field interlace in After Effects. As I always do, but now it doesn´t work!
