Well, not really, but this is post number 2,500 since I joined AD in February 2004. I have about 100 posts in the SV forum, so it will be a long time until the addict status is official. AD has changed quite a bit since I joined. There are a number of good folks that were here, when I first joined, that are not here anymore. Pity.
Amen to that, Bruce! Many have moved on to other sites and they must enjoy them because they never seem to come back. It truly is a pity; I miss many of them.
congrats bruce, and ye, it's a shame people have to leave for whatever reason. but times change and so do people, so it's only natural that people have moved on.
Not that status means anything, but congrats Bruce you are certainly one that would be deservant of the title.
Thanks, guys. I haven't really posted a lot in the past 4 years, and I was actually surprised when I looked at my account a few days ago. I still see a lot more good than bad, here at AD. There are many folks who still need help, and there are many other folks giving them help. That's what the forums are all about.
I haven't been round lately, kinda lost interest.... Been here 4 years in december... lots of changes of late round here...
@GrandpaBW, Congradulations on your posts. I joined on Jan. 2004 and have very few posts as I do a lot of reading. I was just wondering, beings as safety valve post do not count toward your status, why does it show up in your count? Why can't a (0) zero be entered when a safety valve post is posted? These questions are not directed to you, but to AD in general. Thank to GrandpaBW and AD.
Thanks, little155. I don't know if AD has any way that they can keep the SV number showing up in the total posts. It doesn't matter to me, that they do show up. And a big hello to you, Pulsar. Welcome back.
I remember you Pulsar!...... how ya doin??? and here is the standing joke on how many posts you need to become an AfterDawn Addict: good luck to all who want to achieve this status.
Hi all, I pop in and have a look from time to time... don't really have the time or inclination nowadays to post.... Nice to see some familiar faces though.. Was really sad to see Neph go.... He's a top guy.
Congrats Grandpa!!! I've been noticing some of the older members popping in, Sweet!!!!! My 1 yr old has been keeping me very busy, LOL. I joined Oct 9, 2004 and have a hair under 6000 posts.
keep plugin GrandpaBW you will be aDa soon I'm at about or a little over 10,000 post since the end of 2004
i've noticed some of the recent posts have finally started having some info (ie you're in danger of giving good advice sometimes) other than your usual copy/paste posts of 'use Taiyo Yuden, AnyDVD' etc etc., a shame the bulk of those 10,000 aren't really valid posts eh Am pleased to see you starting to help our noobs properly (sometimes), it's appreciated
cheap walmart pc=$400.00, dvd burner=$50.00, ad membership=priceless. everything u need to know in one place. congrads to grandpa.
yeah i don't expect much positive respone from you creaky givin our past history.even after 10,000 plus post theres still not much respect between us and it works both ways believe me. that quote above from you would cover alot of members in here not just me.aD could always change the system and if they did it wouldn't affect what i do in here or how much i post etc. you could alway PM me about this stuff instead of putting it in the open forums but that comes down to the respect thing that either one of us has for each other.
C'mon why start this here? Just leave it... Anyway congrats GrandpaBW remember you from a while back! Its true there has been a lot of change some good and a lot bad. Enough said..
