    Hi all,

I'm new to this editing video thing, and everybody recommended me to use this adobe combo, along with photoshop... I think that they're the best out there, but since I'm a noob I haven't check any other...

Is there some program easier and more interesting than the adobe "trio"? If there's not, which are the best plugins to insert on them...

Thanks in advance, hope this thread can gather lots of info, specially about the smooth plugins

Hi, what is it that you want to achieve? Some of the programs will do everything you need and more. They are very professional and expensive products. I started as you have thinking of buying the best of everything. In reality it does not always work that way. There are many many programs out there, some better then others, different programs have diff features, its what you want is important. Also new programs are popping up all the time.
I started with Movie Maker 2 which comes free with Windows and is pretty good program to start off with ( I did the same thing). Once you get a feel for it and know what you want, and get more knowledge about other softwares you can buy some of them that suit your needs and budget. Recently in thesee forums I have started to hear and read about Magix Movie Edit softwarem it costs only like $50, but is supposed to be really good. I have never used it, and I don't know its value. I use Sony Vegas, which I find pretty good for me. I would like more Add on transitions and special effects though.
Anyway goodluck and let me know what you end up buying and how good is it.
The good thing is a lot of these softwares give you 30days try out time.
