Hi, Could anyone tell me what would be the better of these three AGP video cards, A palit 7600GS Sonic 256/128bit DDR3 overclocked at 500MHz/1200MHz, An MSI 7800GS 256/256bit GDDR3 at 375MHz/1200MHz or a Leadtek 7600GT 256/128bit DDR3 at 560MHz/1400MHz.

What is the MSI brand like? and how overclockable is the 7800GS?
Please do not recomend another card or that I upgrade to PCI-e, I have a deal on these three cards only.
    Thanks.

The 7800GS cards will be slightly faster, but high end AGP cards are often very unreliable due to the fact that the AGP interface can't keep up. Go with the 7600GT to be safe. I should remind you, however, that AGP cards are significantly more expensive than PCI express ones, so this upgrade may be a false economy. If you're upgrading your PC to play games like Crysis, your CPU will also probably be a limiting factor, as I'm guessing it's a single core unit. If it is, you'll also want to upgrade the CPU as well soon, which will probably require a new motherboard, and the only decent new boards are PCI express. Reaistically, upgrading AGP systems requires serious thought, because it usually isn't the cure-all people think it is.

Thanks for the advice sam. With a little googling I see a lot of people with problems, I'll get the 7600GT.
I do have a modern desktop and a brand new laptop. This one is like a toy for me to tinker with (until it dies)
Watercooled Barton XP-M 2800+ unlocked with all the right numbers.
Abit NF7-S V2 overclockers dream in its day.
    2 gigs DDR400 dual channel.

The only real money I've spent on it will all port over to the next build. LCD screen, hardrives, DVD, PSU, waterpump and rad, keyboard, mouse etc.

That's fair enough, if you can find a decent deal on an AGP 7600 you should unlock some of that system's former glory, going back to my old XP 3000+ from my Core 2 system last week though, the difference is astonishing.

Price is pretty good. We have a thriving market here for old second hand computer parts anyway. I'm sure I can get a fair chunk of the money back later on, if I dont melt the thing :)
