Hey, I'm sorry if this is a repost of some sort, but I did search the forums for "Akai 42" and "PT4299HD" and it came up with nothing. If it is a repost I appologize and would someone kindly direct me to the other post. Now that I got that out of the way.. I've never had one of these big new cool TV's. Infact, I've had the same 32" TV since I was 11 (I'm 18 now). Now, I'm moving into a new house (yay) and I want to buy a nice big TV for my nice house and throw this old one away, but, I know pretty much nothing about TV's.. I know a 42" TV is good, and a 52" is better, but that's about it. What I wanted to know is, is this TV any good? I've read some of the reviews that people have written and most say that the audio is subparr, but that's why I bought a new Home Theater System. I understand I'll have to get HDTV in the new house, which is good because I've been wanting to get it.. will I need some kind of box for HDTV? If yes, does anyone have any suggestions on what's a good one, or all they all the same? Any help/suggestions/input on this will be greatly appreciated.
Akai isnt a supperb make, but im sure it will do the job ok. It doesnt mention the frequency of the image, so presumably it will be 50Hz, not 100Hz which is better.
