Am I to understand that A120 DOES NOT allow for a direct copy of a copy protected CD without the aid of additional software (BWA, etc.)?

Their web site makes it sound as if all I have to do is put in the source CD along with a blank CDR and select the copy disk mode. True or Not?

Well that depends on what pc protection you're backing up and what brand name cd burner.

im new to this and using the Alcohol 120 trial version ,ive tried 2 games one with safe 2.4 and one with 3.4 do i choose the datatype as safeDisc 2/3 does this cover both!! when the dump starts it is so slow it seems it would take hours to complete and there many error messages showing up !! using a athlon 64 with a nec dvd_rw nd2500A 40x and sony dvd/cd at 40x it seems too slow even when i try to burn directly without the dump !! any advice on the errors or speed or if it will even work would be appreciated!! Thanx

it takes 5 minutes to dump 5 mb or 1% of the disc at this rate it would take 10 hrs to do a 600Mb disc sumpin aint right or this isnt worth the effort!!

Your CD Burner probably does not support fast error skipping . Maybe suggest getting a new "2 sheep" burner.
