You two were kind enough to help me when I was trying to back up some of my grandson's original dvd's and also some of my own. I downloaded at that time some of Alcohol's tutorials and found that using a combination of DVDFABDECRYPTER and DVD SHRINK and sometimes VOB BLANKER I was able to do all of them. However I purchased THE PROPOSTION the other day and found that DVD SRINK had a problem and so did VOB BLANKER. In VOB BLANKER a message said as follows: "VTS 08-Detected 1 cell with pointers mismatch between VTS_C_ADT and PGC_PBK tables using VTSM_C_ADT initial and ending pointers".

Can you help me with this backup?

Try running Ripit4me on this one, or use the 21 free trial of AnyDVD to break the encryption, I hope this ties you over until the pros get here, but I'm not much help with the DVDFabDecrypter or VOBBlanker.

    Ripit4me guide
    Hope this helps

    @ PWANJO,

That message is ok, vobblanker should fix it, just make sure u follow the guide and make sure u hit the Proc. All button in VobBlanker and continue with the normal steps.
BTW here is a newer revised guide by Alkohol

Thanks BlivetNC I have never used that program but I will try it. Actually I tried FIXVTS which I had on my computer for the troublesome VTS 08 file & DVDSHRINK seems to be Encoding it fine so after I burn it I will adsvise how I did. Again, Thanks for your promptness.

I didn;t see your comment "300bowler" until after I ran the VTS 08 file through FIXVTS 1.5. I then reopened DVD Shrink & opened the VIDEO_TS file and it had no problem Encoding & Burning my backup. I tried it for a few minutes & then fast forwarded it through. It seems to be a good copy.

VOB Blanker is good like that. The only error message I have EVER received with VOBB is something about the process ending earlier than expected. But other than that, VOBB has never failed me.
