Just to let everyone know, you CAN get Nero 6 to work with an HP dvd writer 200i. Just don't update Nero 6 to the latest versions because the latest versions of Nero 6 are not compatible with the HP dvd writer 200i. For best results, use version 6.3.1.13 .
Yes. I contacted HP about the issue, updated burner firmware, installed their propriatary burning software - which didnt work, and then ended up uninstalling both burners and using original Nero 6 version.
Not necessary. It's working fine with v6.3.1.13, so why fix it if it ain't broke? I have no desire to update the software program - especially in this age of decreasing user rights to use the program ala fair use. (I already made the mistake of upgrading from Nero 5 to Nero 6)
ok fair enough, but pls be aware that everyone else out there, like me, will always push people to the newer versions, otherwise they'll be back here with more problems. what worked for you is great, but won't work with most people out there..
