sorry newbie......i got sv2 so has mate, but i get sly one but he dont. in bristol live 1 mile apart. i update and scan his box at my gaffe and i get it. take it back to his it dont work. delete it and scan and it dont ever appear. 2 3 sports movies all that jazz is there but just wont do sly one???? help. peace out afterdawn this site has saved me a fortune.
Well it should pick it up, you are both on same provider VM/frequency and symbol rate, so suggest you do a manual scan for it. Check the frequency at your place and then on/at your mates do a manual scan on that frequency, possible slight drift.
Yes i also live in Bristol and get one sly one , would there be any chance you could post the frequency of sly one for bristol ???
Check it at your gaffe on your own box, if you are on;y a mile apart then it is the same, make a note of it and then do a Manual Scan at your mates, for example if it shows as 199.000, Press Menu, Installation OK go down to Manual Scan OK and in the Down Frequency at the top enter 199000 and press OK, it will then scan on the one frequency. (the point will appear on it's own)! The above Frequency is only an example, check it at your house on your box.
thanks for suggestion, i have asked he do that but not sure if he totally understood me when i tried to explain what he has to do.(more of a newbie than me) he has never had virg*n tv but has an old cable that he discovered when doing house maintainence.?? but he gets sky2 n 3 so 1 must be there somewhere. looks like i better go back down his place and do it myself.:~(
Check the TVchs, Sky Sports 1 & 3 = 459000 Sky Sports 2 & Ex=467000 For TW Bristol. If he's got Sly 3 then Sly 1 should be there.
