My computer recently crashed and I had to reinstall Windows XP, etc. Now all my ripping programs are running extremely slow.

IMG burn and DVD Decrypter are ripping at 1x and CloneDVD is much slower as well.

I checked DMA on the Control Panel and it appears to be running. System info from Nero utility also days DMA is on for both Primary and Secondary channels. What am I doing wrong here?

Here is a log from IMGburn. I aborted because it is going so slow. However it shows max read rate of "1.0" Thanks for your help and knowledge.

Thanks so much for your reply. I fixed the problem; originally I noticed it when I was using my external hard drive, where I store video files. I got the right drivers going for my USB hub and the speed went back to normal.

Not having my burning setup totally freaked me out--more than it should have--but that is another thread entirely. DVD burning nervosa.
