    Hey peeps,
    i tried burning a dvd, now i converted my AVI files to MPG i then used nero and it took 3 hours to convert a bunch of stuff, then found a "Video_TS" folder, i then opened the folder and copied everything in the folder to nero burning ROM and burnt onto DVD! Now problem the menu didnt come out properly, and the sound doesnt go with the Picture? and its all out of proportion, can anyone see what the problem is?

    what program did you use to convert the avi to mpg? I use ConvertXtoDVD and let it do it's thing...... it converts the files and burns all in one step! the problem that you have sounds like it happened in the converting....... and remember ....... the quality of the video that is converted is only going to be as good as the original files that are being converted!

    I use Cucusoft? Is this not a good program to use? The converted Files seem to play fine on my computer, sound etc is perfect but after burning it has come out on DVD but not correctly?

    The Media Type itself is what we need to know.

    http://www.digitalfaq.com/media/dvdmedia.htm

    The following list is in preference order. The best discs are near the top of the list. The discs at
    the bottom of the list are suitable only for a landfill.

    Almost flawless burns with 95-100% reliable results:
    PVC = Pioneer = (-R)(-RW)
    MXLRG01, MXLRG02 = Maxell = (-R) ... be aware of unbranded fakes
    MCC = Mitsubishi Chemicals = (-R)<-----------------VERBATIM MY CHOICE #1
    TDKG02 = TDK Corp = (-R) ... be aware of unbranded fakes
    TAIYOYUDEN or YUDEN = Taiyo Yuden = (-R)<--------------FUJIFILM (made in japan) MY CHOICE #2

    Decent discs, though not perfect, about 85-95%
    success rate:

    RICOHJPN = Ritek or Ricoh = (+R)
    SONYD04 = Sony = (-R) ... be aware of unbranded fakes
    PRODISC = Prodisc Media = (+RW)
    INFODISC = Infodisc Media = (+RW)
    RITEKG04 = Ritek = (-R)

    Cheap media will give you these problems.

    @jizmak.... you neglected to show the +R disks.... that Taiyo Yuden is the top one there:http://www.digitalfaq.com/media/dvdmedia.htm
    in your list you show Taiyo Yuden blow Maxell,Verbatim and put it with Fuji disks! at bottom of the FIRST CLASS list! All I buy is Taiyo Yuden disks and not one of them (after more than 500 burns) did I ever get a coaster! I only use the +Rs cause I booktype to DVD-ROM for more compatibility to players.
