I have a new xbox and it requires x2 4979 bios and slayer comes with 77 bios. I there a way I can open the iso using xiso and add the new bios, whihc I downloaded and make it part of the installation?

ok if you have the iso image of the slayer 2.5 on your pc

    try this program
    http://www.geocities.com/dc_squirelly/

    iso reader
will read any xiso file from your pc
and files can be extracted that way

    but after that
you have to remake the xiso and burn it
so your xbox can read it

I dont know any other way to alterate a xiso/iso already made

yes you can I used xisotool opened slayers and and found the 4977 bios and replaced it ( by naming it the same with the 4979 bios) then booted with the disk I made and was able to flash the 4979 by choosing the 4977 option..

If I just replace the 4977 files with the 4979 bios and rename it 4977 wouldn't I have change the evox-ini file in slayer? Meaning change the the x2 4977 entry and all those numbers that follow?

im using the 4979.06 which has the lb48 layer included which allows hdd larger than 137 and allocates it all to the f drive. I checked the ini and I may have had to change it. cause usually I change it to the ip address I like and I change the games to F:/hddloader anyway,.

    worked for me.
