Can I use a laptop LCD for other uses?

How would I go about that?

You can use it to watch TV or a repository for sticky notes

I was thinking along the lines of a TV or making it so I can use it to hook my PS2 up to it for road trips or something.

    ANY IDEAS?

you could buy a tv tuner card or capture card. this would allow you to watch tv and play you ps2. I not sure what are good brands.

A TV tuner card might work if the screen was hooked up to a laptop. But it is not.

How do I use just the screen?

That's not practical as the screen is powered via the laptop...

It wasnt directed at you. It was directed at the guy trying to do this. If he can even work out what to do with it, he still needs a power source, which is lacking if you get rid of the laptop itself... Lol

It's prolly easier to use the whole laptop. Bye the time you hook up the power source any any other connections you need it might be more bulk than the laptop.

Is the screen from a broken laptop?

Then unless you get it power (wire it to a DC connnector or sumin - dunno if you can), then it's useless.

I don't know really. I spose you'd need to find what type of power the lcd is getting from the laptop and then put a converter in place? Not my thing really.
